I see the rain outside my window
Oh, how I wish I could be outside
And let each rain drop hit me on my sides
I'm drenched in sorrows
Like the ground below me
A prisoner in my mind
Stuck in my life with no room to move
I can see out the glass at the world
But won't let that world touch me
For if it did,
I may shatter
Like the glass protecting me.

Then I took and object
And pushed it with all my might
I could feel the case give
Then it shattered open as I had once feared.
My life there came to an end.
I had freed myself from my jail
and from my jailer
With one big swift blow
So out I went in to the rain
I was free to try again at life
And maybe be I could find happiness too.
