{"id":151,"date":"2009-03-26T10:18:19","date_gmt":"2009-03-26T17:18:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/35.225.155.113\/blog\/index.php\/2009\/03\/26\/blue_note\/"},"modified":"2019-10-13T13:19:18","modified_gmt":"2019-10-13T20:19:18","slug":"blue-note","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.weinstein.org\/blog\/index.php\/2009\/03\/blue-note.html","title":{"rendered":"Blue Note"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As part of their Jazz Series, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cso.org\/\">Chicago Symphony Center<\/a> last week celebrated the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Blue_Note\">Blue Note<\/a> jazz label&#8217;s 70th Anniversary today.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, I wasn&#8217;t be able to attend the concert, which is a shame. &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Mozart_Effect\">Mozart Effect<\/a>&#8221; or not, I&#8217;ve always found Jazz both mentally and emotionally appealing. This of course means I try, in part, to partake in live performances as much as possible. Living in Chicago, for Jazz especially, helps. But just over 4 years ago I was in New York City for <a href=\"http:\/\/pdw.weinstein.org\/2003\/10\/oct-28-03.html\">a speaking engagement<\/a> when I had one of those &#8220;only in New York City&#8221; moments.
